For instance, I was amazed at the number of refugees who fled to Pakistan and wondered how that country could sustain over 3 million refugees from another country. Whenever I hear about refugees it makes me wonder what it would feel like to be completely displaced, with no home base and no comfort.

ReplyDeleteI Liked having Mrs. Shipman come in. She told us a lot about the culture and I also learned about the afgan girl in Mullti Cutlural. So all in all It was pretty fungalur!
ReplyDeleteI think having Mrs. shipman come in was better than regular class. Also i would hate to be a women in afghanistan because you have no rights or freedom!!! so heres what i say to that----- :P
ReplyDeleteI think that it was pretty fun when Mrs. Shipman came in to teach us about the people and ways of life in Afghanistan.....I learned a lot, and I feel so bad for all those people (especially the women) because they have such poor living conditions, most of them, and they have so much less than us over here in America......technology and otherwise.
ReplyDeleteHaving Mrs.Shipman in the class was great. It's too bad the Russians went down to Afghanistan on a rampage. They were communist, but I don't think they are any more.
ReplyDeleteIt was diffrent Ms. Shipman really cool so we all had fun and learned lots about people from Afghanistan. The afgan girl changed alot since the picture that was taken years ago. The quest to find her look hard because lots of people live in Afhganistan.
